In 2024, we tried a new spin on the traditional schedule which allowed many of our members to experience new tracks.

We kicked off the season at Anse de Vaudreuil on February 4th with an ice driving extravaganza, appropriately named “Slip-N-Slide Sur Glace”.  The event sold out immediately but, at the last minute, we had to replan for the alternate date.  Even in our wildest dreams, we could not have foreseen such conditions, but the team came together and pulled off a phenomenal success.

In April, we were received by Simon and his team at SH’s Karting new building where they showed us some of the exciting things they have on offer including their Race Car Setup facility and Private Car Museum.  This was a treat for children of all ages and many of us ended the morning with some tool shopping.

In May, we returned to our beloved home track, Piste Mont-Tremblant for our “Spring Fever” event on Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th.  This event also featured the first running of our running of our “Spring Tease” event which allowed “vetted” new members to experience the track at “Highway Speeds”.  Organizing this activity was a gargantuan task.  Once again, our team came together and provided an amazing experience to our new recruits.  We had several guests from neighbor clubs but not as many as we had expected.

In June, we returned once again to our beloved home track, Piste Mont-Tremblant for our “Summer Apex” event which was attended by several guests from neighbor clubs who we would meet again later in the season.

In July, several of members, instructors and students alike, took a Road Trip to visit our friends from Audi NEQ Club at Motorsports in New Hampshire.  Instructors who had not driven the track had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the track on Sunday July 14th.  Students of all levels enjoyed the new track and made new friends on Monday July 15th and Tuesday 16th.  We hope to repeat this experience in 2025.

In August, we were back at our beloved home track, Piste Mont-Tremblant for the “Bimmers Across the Border” event, organized in collaboration with the Boston Chapter of BMW CCA.  This three-day event was open to instructors on Friday August 2nd and to drivers of all levels on Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th.

In early September, we our Summer Drive lead the group through the beautiful region of Montérégie to CAMY Vineyard, where our host, Fred Tremblay, gave us a tour of the property, explaining the winemaking process and guided us through a tasting of his fine wines and ciders.  The day ended around a meticulously prepared buffet adorned with cheeses, pâtés, charcuterie, crudités, and dessert, accompanied by a selection of CAMY wines.

Finally, in mid-September, several of members, instructors and students alike, took a Road Trip to visit our friends from the Trillium Chapter of BMW CCA at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) in Ontario.   Instructors who had not driven the track had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the track on Friday September 13th.  Students of all levels enjoyed the new track and made new friends on Saturday September 14th and Sunday September 15th.   This is another experience we hope to repeat in 2025.

On Saturday December 7th, several of our members and their families joined us for an evening of celebration, delicious food, and camaraderie L'Etoile de Mirabel.  Jerry treated us to a Greek-inspired, family-style meal which appreciated by all. As usual, the Club provided the wine which enhanced the festive spirit and encouraged many to share some great stories.

Thank you for being part of our story in 2024 and we look forward to seeing you at the track in 2025.
